Quote of the day 11-7

There is nothing particularly wrong with salmon, of course, but like caramel candy, strawberry yogurt, or liquid carpet cleaner, if you eat too much of it you are not going to enjoy your meal

  1. I read somewhere that when the Lewis and Clark Expedition reached the mouth of the Columbia River, the Native Americans were netting massive amounts of salmon. With his men starving, Clark permitted his men to slaughter one of their horses so they could eat it. They believed that if they ate the big red salmon they'd turn red as the Indians. I'm not a big salmon fan, but I certainly prefer it to horse.
