STANDING ON THE slick, damp rocks smoothed over by centuries of wind tossed waves, my heart stopped. Piper wore nothing but her swimsuit and the temperature was cool enough to make our noses blush pink. Hunger lingered in her eyes, making my own desire burn through me, the frigid air forgotten in the heat of a deep ache and longing pummeling me unexpectedly. I ran to her, embracing her thin frame and attempted to stifle the goose bumps flaring across her skin. We were on vacation on one of my favorite beaches of the Oregon coast. A place to forget the insanity of college life.
The alcove was a small private beach, free from any barrage of tourists. Leading her over the mess of rocks and sand to the blanket I had set out for our picnic, I carefully cradled her body as we slipped down onto it, our lips devouring each other’s until they felt downright bruised. Hers were bright pink, full and swollen from my assault as I explored them. Our skins had turned from frozen to searing, the wind all but forgotten except for toying with the ends of her long brown hair with unseen fingertips. It lay fanned out underneath us, a warm pillow for her head.
I’d never met anyone like Piper. She was the vision of my dream woman, the one I never knew I had wanted; always spontaneous and filled with a vibrant life force so few possess. I reached over and undid the ties to her bikini, raking my fingers down her sides, desperate to devour every last bit. She was soft and her curves supple against the hard rocks pressing on us. We didn’t care, we were lost to the world. We could’ve jumped up and rushed into the aged beach house a few yards away, where the fire burned warm and the bed creaky but comfy, yet even that was not a concern. All that mattered was kissing her, everywhere, everyplace in every way to make sure some sort of fiery warmth caressed the cold away and our wanting satisfied.

Shivering from my touch, she opened her hooded eyes, glazed with lust and most definitely matching my own. Her fingers curled around my blonde hair, as she whispered my name “Sasha…” before her voice ebbed away and my lips found hers once more. It was there that I gave away my heart, before all the wrong snaked into our lives back home. Before all the flighty decisions and selfishness had sent us spiraling into oblivion, leaving us broken. I wanted it back, all the ‘before’ and ‘once upon a time’s’. I still did, now more than ever before. Salvaging our hearts made me determined, it was the only way either of us could really live again.

Alexia Purdy currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada–Sin City! She loves to spend every free moment writing or playing with her four rambunctious kids. Writing has always been her dream and she has been writing ever since she can remember. She loves writing paranormal fantasy and poetry and devours books daily. Alexia also enjoys watching movies, dancing, singing loudly in the car and Italian food.

Announcing a New Series!

I Would Like to Present the Beginning of a New Series!

The Miel Chronicles!

J.T. Lewis

K.R. Jordan

Check out the first in the series! The Miel Chronicles is a collaborative effort between authors to bring readers a series of thought-provoking fantasy stories! Yolanda, the first story is coauthored by K.R. Jordan

The workings of heaven are shrouded in mystery and myth, leaving us to only theorize as to what awaits us when we pass.
Generally speaking, we like to think that we all fall into two distinct groups: those that live a good life and go to heaven, and those that don’t and are destined for another realm.
There are those among us however, that are special cases.
These are good people that have committed a horrendous crime, such as murder.
What makes their cases special however, is the fact that by committing these egregious acts, one could argue that they have made the world a better place.
The premise of The Miel Chronicles is that there is a heavenly court that is forced to consider these special cases, holding in their collective hands the fate of the souls that come before them.
Three archangels make up the Court of Souls, but only one among them recognizes that these souls cannot be judged on just the outward facts.
He alone will take it upon himself to dig into the sordid details surrounding the crimes in question. But he is a busy entity, and unable to traverse the world in search of evidence.
Miel, a lowly angel that can walk among us, travels the world in his stead. Tasked as an investigator by the archangel, her job is to gather facts. But more than that, she must capture the emotions that led to the act in question, as well as any evidence of repentance.
It is this recording of emotions in the Journal of Souls that will ultimately clear, or convict the soul.
These are the journeys of Miel, the Keeper of the journal.

Murder! Too Close To Home

Get It Here!

The sleepy little county in southeast Indiana is suddenly awakened by a series of murders, leaving local law enforcement unsure where to turn. Seeming like professional hits, the victims are nonetheless normal every day people, with no ties to each other or anything criminal. Of the scant clues left at the scenes, there is one that kept showing up, a business card identifying their perp only as the 'GHOST'. Gabriel Celtic and the other members of the Major Crimes Taskforce have been tasked with finding the ominous man, but soon discover that they will be thwarted at every turn. The revelation of another's involvement also involved in the murders, the mastermind of the killings, sends the investigation yet again into turmoil as this person easily eludes their efforts to identify and locate...her, a woman! As the murders continue, it also becomes apparent that Jasmine, the beautiful blonde mastermind, has it out for the County Sheriff's Department, implicating its involvement with each new body found. Having never been involved in such a bizarre series of crimes, Gabriel soon learns that solving the investigation would cost one of his own the ultimate sacrifice.

Gabriel’s Revenge

He is unnerved however, by the feeling that this “girl” seems just a little too familiar with his past. Starting his investigation as soon as the wheels hit the tarmac, he soon finds help from an unexpected source… the mysterious woman from the plane. Coming to his rescue in the nick of time, her competence and bravery are undeniably familiar. Meanwhile the investigation into the diabolical murders of his friend and others will soon lead him on a journey that will end at a place that he had never expected… the darkest corners of the Catholic Church!

Butterfly Migration Released Today!!

Mia Castile's newest book, The Butterfly Migration releases Today!

This is the third book in her series, The Butterfly Chronicles.

The worst day of Lacey Baxter’s life was the day her parents announced their divorce and her boyfriend Chase Livingston went into a coma. Scratch that. The worst day of her life was two months later, when he woke up and didn’t recognize her. Now, as he pushes her away, she clings to the hope that each day will be the day he remembers how much they love each other. Turning to her new BFF Byron and his circle of friends, she does whatever she can to cope with the changes. She just wants to be numb and forget about everything.

The headaches, the panic attacks, the pressure to be this perfect boyfriend are incredibly hard for Chase to bear. He doesn’t love Lacey, or at least he doesn’t think he does. Still, he doesn’t understand this strong attraction to her, or the jealousy he feels over every guy that talks to her. Losing two years of his memory means strangers think they know him and he’s not sure where he fits in. Will his memories come back over time or all at once? Should he even wish for them?

Finding each other again could be harder than either of them thought, especially when everyone knows their business and has an opinion about it.

**This is a Mature YA Series, containing subjects concerning addictions and sexual content.**

The Second Young Gabriel Celtic Adventure is Here!

The Abandoned Mine!

The Adventures of Young Gabriel Celtic is a Middle Grade series that focuses on the misadventures of Gabriel Celtic as a youngster. Always inquisitive, he follows his intuition in search of mystery and adventure. Unfortunately, things don't always turn out quite like he planned:

The bike hit the ridge going too fast, sending it high into the air as the path on Nugget Hill dropped down quickly below it.
The dark-haired boy riding the bicycle gripped the handlebars tightly, squeezing his eyes tightly shut until he and the bike came crashing down onto the path in a tangle of steel and flesh.
Bouncing once, the bicycle flipped front over back, dumping the boy into the middle of a blackberry bush, the thorns tearing at the exposed flesh of his arms as it broke his fall.
When he came to a halt, he was staring at the sky, confused. Tears were threatening to escape his eyes, adding to the sweat already streaking down his dirty face.
Suddenly remembering what had happened earlier, he rolled out of the bush and ran over to his bike. Nervously, he jumped on and started peddling, relieved that it still rolled when he pushed the pedal down.
Pushing himself once again to exhaustion, the sweat flew off of the curly matted hair now plastered to his face from the exertion, the rivulets of sweat running through the thick dust on his face giving him a ghoulish look.
He had never been so tired…or so scared.
Screeching to a stop in front of the house, he jumped off of the bike and took off for the porch at a run. Seeing the older man on the porch smoking a cigar, he let out a loud “GRAMPS!”
Surprised at the intrusion to his thoughts, the older gentleman glanced to his left, seeing a boy running towards him with dirty hair and blood trickling down his arms.
“G-g-g-g-gramps! It-t-t’s m-m-me….J-j-jim-my,” the boy panted out.
Gabriel Celtic Senior would have known that stuttering anywhere.
“Jimmy?” the old man ran to meet the approaching apparition, “What’s happened to you son?”
“G-g-gabe…” he sputtered, trying to catch his breath.
“Gabe? What about Gabe Jimmy?”
Gabriel senior’s heart skipped a beat at the mention of the old mine.
“What about the old mine Jimmy?” he said as he grabbed the young man’s shoulders anxiously, “What are you trying to say?”
“C-c-cave….C-c-cave in!”
“Cave in? Jimmy….where’s Gabe?”
